Why “Manash”?

“Manash” is more than just a name. It is a tribute to the woman who inspired everything I know about cooking, baking, hosting, and the art of bringing people together.

When my sons were little, they lovingly called my mother “Manash.” She was the heart of our family—a woman who filled every corner of our home with the comforting aromas of cardamom, rosewater, and freshly baked sweets.

Growing up, our home was always a place of warmth, celebration, and togetherness. My mother had a magical way of turning every Yalda night and every family gathering into something unforgettable, filled with delicious food, laughter, and love. Her hands created meals that nourished not only the body, but the soul.

At the table where all of this carries on.

My mother was my first teacher and my greatest inspiration. Everything I know about cooking—the techniques, creativity, traditions, and love behind it—began with her. For years, I have had the joy of sharing these lessons and experiences with others through my own teaching. In many ways, everything I teach today is rooted in what she first taught me.

Although I lost her far too soon, her spirit and everything she taught me continue to live through the work I do today.

Naming my business “Manash” is my way of honoring her legacy and keeping her memory alive. It is a name filled with stories, flavors, memories, and love—just like my mother.

Through Manash, I hope to share the same warmth, generosity, and joy she brought into our home with each of you.
